A few little goals for December

Engage more.
Over the year I've let my engagement slip. I had a lot going on in my life and I used the limited free time I did have to read blogposts instead of reading, commenting, and joining in blogchats. I've recently started to get back into it and engaging with other bloggers and my blog's loving the attention from others.

Finish the 5 books I've set aside for December.
I finished my Goodreads reading challenge of 35 books in September but I'm not letting that stop my momentum. I've got five books I want to finish by the end of the year, which will take me up to 47 books, so we'll see what happens. I've already started Holding Up The Universe, and The Hobbit part two so finishing those and An Essay On Typography, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, and Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses should be doable.

Actually complete a lettering monthly challenge.
I don't think I've done this since the start of the year, and since all the Christmas related ones will be coming out I think it'll be even more motivation to finish one again. For those of you who don't know, on Instagram the lettering community host challenges to letter a specific thing each day and post it to Instagram. I usually do the #brushletterpracticechallenge plus some others that take my fancy. Follow @sofillyink to see if I actually complete the challenge!

Enjoy Christmas.
I love Christmas more than most things in life so I have the habit of waiting for December throughout the entire year with huge anticipation that sometimes the day doesn't match up to my expectations. For this reason entirely I've decided against doing Blogmas. I was going to do it, I had most of the posts planned and some of them written but I didn't want to put that pressure on myself after the hectic year that's been. I want to enjoy myself, relax a bit, and hopefully go home and see my family.

What have you got planned to achieve in December? I'm currently watching Elf while writing this and all the decorations are up so my last goal is going well!
