Things I've been loving lately

This blog is all about showing you guys some things I love and think you may love too. So without further ado I shall ignore my short little hiatus and get back into it with some of the things I've been loving recently. This technically could be a monthly favourites but some of these I've been loving for longer than that!

A Court Of Thorns And Roses by Sarah J Maas
This has been one of those books that I've wanted to read for a very long time but never got around to doing so. So the other week I placed an order on Book Depository and finally got my hands on it which made me finally read it. I'm currently loving it, there's hints of other dystopian/fantasy type books in there and I swear there's parts which are based off Beauty and the Beast but it's rather different to anything I've read recently and I think that's why I've enjoyed it so much. I was barely into the 6th chapter before placing an order for the sequel because I was loving it so much. If you haven't read it yet totally give it a try if it's your sort of thing! Edit: I've just finished it and it's now like my second favourite book, behind the Harry Potter series. Seriously try it!

Bullet Journal
I've raved about my bullet journal before but after finishing uni I didn't really have much to put in it so didn't really feel like I needed to use it anymore. But over New Years I spent a while scrolling through the #bujo tag on Instagram craving inspiration and set my new year journal up to be much more creative and constructive, and more suitable for my new daily life. I've set up a book tracker and a pixel mood tracker to be used over the year, so far these are looking really cool and I can't wait to see what they look like further on in the year. I've also used my journal as a way to store the monthly lettering challenges I've got planned and I've started sticking images and illustrations in to make it much more fun and a recording of my month.

Grey's Anatomy
Previously I'd only watched the eleventh series so once I'd come to the end of a lot of series I was watching I decided to crack this 12 series TV show. My boyfriend decided to tag along and we've now just finished the sixth series, just about halfway! Can't wait to get stuck into the other half, even if it's going to take us forever seen as now we're working we only get through an episode a night.

Max Factor Palette
I won this off Sophie's blog just after Christmas I think it was, and ever since it's arrived I've been pretty much using it daily. There are three or four shades I use all the time, and I haven't really touched those dark two on the end but one day I will. The rest of the palette I've just been loving and they make a rather shimmery but easy to wear daily look which I've been rocking (or trying to rock).

Aesop Rind Concentrate Body Balm
I got this probably like a year ago and haven't used it until now. I never really end up using those body lotions that come with the travel kits as I never travel with them and then I never use them at home. The other week however I was clearing out my bathroom cabinet and while I tossed out the other travel sized body lotions I decided to keep this one, mainly for the smell. My favourite smells are citrus smells and as you can maybe tell from the name this is very much citrus smelling! It's made of orange, pink grapefruit, and lemon rind and boy do my legs smell great when I'm done. In terms of how well it does as a body lotion, it does the job and doesn't dry my legs out further so I'd say that's totally fine!

Hope you're doing well! x
